Rules and Regulations


Utica Big Bass Rules and Regulations

  1. Contest will be held on June 19th from 7am to 2pm – no frozen fish please
  2. Contestants must be paid in full and registered
  3. All contestants must fish on French Creek from the Carlton Bridge to Polly's Ice Cream only
  4. We would like all the contestants must launch from the Utica launch site – see directions below
  5. All fish must be photographed next to the official Utica Yard stick
  6. All entries must be submitted by 3pm - no exceptions
  7. All legal motorized and non-motorized watercraft welcome - or walk in - it's good exercise
  8. Presentation time is at 7pm - winner must be present
  9. Nine trophies will be awarded - 1st , 2nd, and 3rd for adults and kids under 16
  10. Biggest fish will also be awarded - no age requirement - 1st , 2nd, and 3rd
  11. Winners will be declared by the Utica Council
  12. All contestants must have a valid PA fishing license and must follow all PA boating and safety requirements.

Our goal is to make it fun and fair for everyone.
We will do our best to keep it entertaining and promote
the wonderful town of Utica and beautiful French Creek.


Directions

From Pittsburgh:
79 north to 80 east – take Franklin, Oil City Exit (route 8 north)
Left on Polk Cutoff (next to Maurer’s Trading Post)
Follow to stop sign - Right on 62 north
Left on Niles Rd – follow through stop sign – turns into Creek Rd
Follow signs to Utica

From Cleveland:
80 east – follow above directions

From Erie or Northern OH:
79 south to 322 East – Meadville Exit
Follow 322 East past Cochranton – look for Utica sign on right
Follow Rd about 2 miles into Utica
